Evening Musuko Fanfic: Between You and Me - Prologue

On a dark night in Circuit Avenue, there were two guys walking down the street.

“WOOOOOOOT!!!! HAHAHAHA.” Caspy laughed in his drunken state. The other guy who was carrying him by having Caspy’s arm over his shoulder was Andrew. They had just come from a bar.

“Uuughh. You’re so drunk. Quiet down. You’re attracting attention. You shouldn’t have chugged that much beer.” Andrew criticized Caspy for his carelessness.

“Yeah, yeah, yeah. Shtupu, syou couplain choo much,” Caspy yelled out.

Although Andrew was embarrassed, you could tell he was smiling and laughing inside over this whole matter. When they arrived at Caspy’s house, Andrew carried him into his bedroom.

“Alright now, buddy. We’re at your room. Time to go to slee—-WOAAH.”

Caspy lost his balance and fell on Andrew. As his head lied on Andrew’s chest he whispered softly, “…If only this moment could last forever.” Andrew facepalmed.

“What are you talking about? Wow, you must be really drunk. Up you go.”

He lifted Caspy up and threw him onto his bed.

“See you tomorrow, idiot.” Andrew closed the door and left.

“…You’re the idiot here…” Caspy mumbled to himself.

The next day Caspy was in pain. As he got up, he was struggling to find his balance. He swayed back and forth and went to the bathroom to throw up a few times. Obviously he was experiencing a hangover. He took some medicine, took a shower, and went out immediately.

He always took a walk around this time. Unfortunately, a girl that he recognized called out his name and ran up to him. Immediately she held his arm and laid her head on his shoulder.

“Ah~ Caspy… I really enjoyed the time we had together the other night.”

“Yeah, I know you did,” he said melancholy.

“Geez! You’re so boring! How ‘bout you come with me to a café that just got opened!”

“I don’t feel like it.”

“What if I paid for you?”

“Are you trying to insult me?”

“Calm down… How ‘bout this, you come with me and I’ll give you these free tickets I got for Green Panda,” the girl said as she waved the tickets in front of his face.

Green Panda was a popular band that was coming to town soon and also Andrew’s favorite band. Caspy was hoping to get tickets for Andrew and him to see it.

“…Fine,” Caspy grabbed the tickets from her.

“Woot! You’re paying for the café, though.”

“Whatever.”

When they arrived they sat down at a table and a cute waitress came and took their orders.

“What would such a beautiful couple like today?”

The girl looked for the most expensive cake on the menu and ordered the Raspberry Mille-Feuille triple vanilla and Earl Grey tea. Caspy only ordered a simple coffee. After the waitress got their orders, she took off and Caspy watched her walk away.

“Hey! You’re eye-ing the waitress, huh? What kind of man looks at other women on his date?”

“Oh, this is a date? I thought you just simply bribed me into coming with you and pay for your sh**.”

“Ugh! You know how lucky you are to have a girl like me? My body is f***ing perfect, my boobs are bigger than most girls, my face is at the right proportions, and any dude would just die for m—-“

“Yeah, yeah, yeah. Shut up.”

“Hmph… No guy has ever treated me this way before…” She pouted.

The waitress came and gave them their orders and walked away. Again, Caspy stared at her as she walked away.

“…Stop it…”

“Why?”

Silence reigned again.

“…Hey Caspy… Maybe we should start getting serious? I’ll forgive you… I’m tired of being basically friends with benefits.”

“We’re not even friends. Just strangers.”

She stood up, she was flustered with rage and hurt. She tried to grab the tea to pour it on him but before she could, Caspy grabbed it away from her. Then she tried to slap him, but he caught her hand. Feeling useless, she stomped out of the café in tears while biting her lower lip and whispering softly, “You’ll regret this.”

But then she went back to grab her cake and then stomped away again. The other customers were staring at him but he didn’t care.

Just when Caspy was about to finish his coffee and call for the bill, two guys came into the café. It was Andrew and someone much shorter than he was. He then used the menu to cover his face. “What’s Andrew doing with a guy here?!” He thought to himself.

They took a seat right behind Caspy. When they ordered a cake, they were flirting with each other. The other customers were fangirling in the corner. Caspy’s eyes widened. He couldn’t believe what he was seeing.

“Say aahhh, Nipah!”

“Ah~!” Nipah took a bite and flustered. “It tastes so good! I should make this one da—“

“Nope. Shush.”

“How do you expect me to learn how to cook if you don’t let me practice?!” Nipah whined.

“You don’t. I’ll do all the cooking for you… I want to do this because I love you.” Andrew said.

Nipah blushed insanely and mumbled something along the lines of “I love you, too.” Caspy couldn’t take it anymore. He stood up, smashed down two 20 dollar bills and a note and quickly walked away. Nipah and Andrew didn’t notice. They were too busy in their lovey-dovey moment together.

The waitress came and was overly-satisfied with the tip but then wondered why he just left like that. She saw a note and opened it. It had Caspy’s number on it.

Later that night, the waitress and Caspy went out for dinner. They quickly became compatible and he asked her to have fun with him for the night. At first she was a bit hesitant but he eventually persuaded her.

As Caspy and the waitress walked to the hotel, somehow Andrew and Nipah spot sight of them while they were walking themselves. Andrew then stopped and so did Nipah.

“What’s wrong, Andrew?”

“Just saw a friend over there… with the red hair. Looks like it’s a different girl this time.”

“…She looks really familiar…”

“…Yeah. She does.”

For days, Andrew and Caspy didn’t talk. Although Andrew would try to contact him, Caspy would just hang up on the calls or ignore the text messages. Eventually Andrew grew suspicious. Two weeks later Andrew banged on Caspy’s door.

“Ugh. What is it?” Caspy opened the door without knowing who it was. “Oh. It’s you.” As Caspy attempted to close the door, Andrew shoved the door open even further and barged in.

“Why haven’t you been answering me? What if it was important?”

“It’s none of my business. Now get out if that’s all you have to say,” Caspy said without even looking at Andrew.

“Are you mad at me?”

“No.”

“You can’t even talk to me while looking at my face! What’s with you?!”

“Nothing. Just get out.”

“Aren’t we friends? Is there something wrong? You can tell me“

“JUST SHUT THE HELL UP, YOU FAGGOT.”

Silence once again reigned. Caspy realized what he just said. He then covered his mouth.

“T-that’s not what I meant to sa—-“

“So that’s what it’s all about. I date a guy and you’re all disgusted, huh?”

“No.”

“I thought you were better than that. I thought friends were supposed to accept each other.”

“You don’t understand…”

“But you know what? I fucking love him. I love Nipa—“

“DON’T SAY ANYMORE! PLEASE!”

“I MAY LOVE A GUY BUT AT LEAST I’M NOT A DIRTY WHORE LIKE YOU.”

At that instant, Caspy broke. He threw a punch at Andrew and knocked him back a couple of feet. Andrew then threw a punch at Caspy and in turn, he went back a couple of feet. Caspy then threw a punch up Andrew’s chin and Andrew almost fell down but he caught himself and then tackled Caspy. Just when Andrew was about to punch him a second time, Caspy headbutted him in the nose. He covered his nose in pain and Caspy then pushed him off and got on him. Before Caspy could throw in his third punch, a tear dropped down from his eye…and onto Andrew’s face. Andrew was caught off surprised and confused. Caspy then got up and walked a few meters away.

“Just get out…” he whispered softly, “I told you to get out… please.”

Andrew got up and did what he said. When he left, Caspy let out a few more tears. In total, though, he only let out six. He took the tickets and ripped them to as many shreds as he could…while falling to his knees.

Months passed and they haven’t talked since then. Andrew and Nipah continued to be infatuated with each other and to avoid thinking, Caspy would exercise. He deleted every female contact that he slept with before and stopped his playboy activities. One day while he was having a run, a man yelled out telling him to wait up. It was a short guy with brown hair wearing athletic shorts and a t-shirt. Caspy slowed down a bit in order to wait for him to catch up.

“Are you Caspy?”

“…What if I am?”

“You’re right. That’s a silly question. Of course you are.”

“…What do you want?”

“I came to give you a proposition.”

“A proposition? What kind?”

“Word has it that you know all about the desires of women and know how to expose them.”

“That was a while ago. What’s it to you?”

“I know, but how about you join a host club I’m currently organizing?”

“No.”

“Then how about we have a competition. It’ll be a race. Whoever can get to the building that holds a sign named ‘Evening Musuko’ on Circuit Avenue first, wins. If I win, you’ll have to join and work at the host club for at least 1 year.”

“And if I win?”

“I’ll give you $10,000. I heard you’ve been working three jobs, so you can move to Italy.”

“How do you know so much about me?”

“I have my secrets.”

“You better tell me where you get this info if I win.”

“Alright. But you can’t have both. Which one you want? Where I got my info or the $10,000.”

Caspy took a look at this short man. He didn’t seem very fit, so he knew it’d be an easy win.

“Fine. You’re on. I’ll take the info.”

“Alright! On my mark get set…” And Iggy took off before he said go. Caspy grinned and then sprinted towards Circuit Avenue, too. Eventually he passed him which caused Iggy in surprised. Circuit Avenue was 30 minutes away if you ran. 20 minutes later, Caspy looked back and couldn’t even see this man. He was way passed him. He felt bad so he slowed down a bit. Some minutes later, the man was still not in sight and Caspy was just about to reach the destination. Caspy grew a bit worried. He waited a couple of minutes and finally spotted the man in sight. He was completely exhausted and barely even walking. You could see his every effort trying to run. The man then collapsed. Caspy rushed towards him.

“Are you okay?! Should I call an ambulance?!”

The man then stood up steadily. He shoved Caspy off and continuously walked towards the destination even if he was extremely exhausted and sweating off every inch of liquid he still had left in his body. Caspy just watched him in amazement of his pursuit. Finally, the man reached the building and fell down. Caspy again raced over to him.

“You’re a real idiot, you know that?”

“Haha… I know… Welcome to Host Club Evening Musuko… My name’s Iggy. You are officially our 6th member. We can now o-o-open for b-b-business.” Iggy then coughed a bit.

“Geez. Don’t push yourself ever again like that. You know people have died from running too hard. I’m gonna call the ambulance.”

“Haha… I’ll be fine… By the way… Andrew’s in Evening Musuko, too…”

“What?! Then I’m not joining.”

“Haha… Too bad. I won.”

“…”

“You know, I know a way that can cure your broken heart.”

“…What?”

“Haha… It’s simple. Fall in love with me.”

And Iggy fainted. 20 minutes later, the ambulance came. Iggy turned out okay, though.
